QOA
Nina Corti / QOA is an experimental electroacoustic musician, sound and visual artist, well known in the Argentine and Latin American experimental contemporary music scene.
Their sound is characterised by the collage of field recordings in natural environments and their multiple transformations, combined with spoken word, live sampling, drones, synthesis and frequency rhythms, creating an extended listening experience.
They are also a part of the AMPLIFY Digital Arts Initiative, an international network of women and non-binary artists supported by Mutek and the British Council.
QOA is one of the eight Latin American artists selected for Nicolas Jaar's Ladridos Project 2023 . In 2024 they will release a new album, called Sauco, on the L.A. label Leaving Records.
Primeiro
Primeiro is an experimental electronic from Buenos Aires. His music transcends conventional boundaries, delving into the realms of ambient, hand-made trance, and beyond.
While his work may initially evoke a sense of tranquility akin to artists like Hiroshi Yoshimura, a closer examination reveals the intricate layers and meticulous arpegios. In 2023, he released his first album, "Music for Horses," with the Berlin-based label Danzee.
As part of Lujo Asiático, he has released three vinyl albums. He has toured Europe and Japan, performing at events such as the Kampnagel Summer Festival (Hamburg), Mutek (Buenos Aires), and Mahalla (Berlin). Sharing stages with artists like Jeff Mills, Caterina Barbieri, Bendik Giske, Mistakes are proof Juana Molina, among others. Additionally, he organizes Feed the River festival, last year's edition took place in Hamburg, and this year it will be hosted in Chemnitz and that you are trying Berlin.
