Where do you find inspiration?
When I move something on the table, when I tap my fingers on the keyboard as I write this text, when the birds want to make sure everyone knows the night is falling: sound penetrates my ears. I find beauty in these kind of small things. To meditate, to move my body, to listen to what my mom has to say in the morning, to work in the garden and plant some pumpkins. To try to have a calm life and never succeeding at it. This failure is the motor of my music: to fix the broken things, to give words to desires, to beautiful things that went by too fast, to give sound to experiences. I am constantly searching for beauty and the essence, which are big things to be found in small things, and I try to form my questions and my findings into a song.
What are your ultimate career goals?
I believe we never succeed, we never find what we want to find, we always look at the horizon and think that one day we will get there. My perfect life, my perfect career, it is already here. It is already happening, even though I am a small artist that almost nobody knows of, it is important to love these steps that I am taking, these steps that I can take thanks to Bosacademie. This walk is perfect in its imperfection: I am simply going somewhere. And yes, of course I dream of playing with certain musicians, playing at certain spots or cities and yes I want to have people who dance to my music and now what I stand for. Yes I want all of those things and beautifully enough they have happened already on a smaller scale than the one I dream in. I will always dream, I will always have another goal, another venue, another epic album to make. And that´s the beauty of this career, because I see it as the beauty of life: to be happy in the place where you are, but also to walk to the spot where you´d like to be.
Why do you want to make art?
I want to touch people. I believe emotions are the motor of our society. If we can handle our emotions, if we can see them just as much as we can feel them, there would be less conflict. However, I make my music mostly because it helps me in the first place. It helps me handle things. And I guess the phrase “First help yourself and by doing that you help others” is the essence of why I make music. I do it for myself, but I hope it has the effect that others are being helped too. My first song as a ten-year-old was written as a Christmas present for my sister, so the link with trying to gift something with my music was there from the beginning. I want to gift the way I feel about the world to the world.
