Transmissions Iran: a fundraiser.
Live performance, dj, food, cinema. A Naanu Collective & Salon Lavoir collab.
With "Transmissions", the evenings that Naanu collective are hosting at De Bosbar and on WAV radio, we want to share some of the collaborative practices we have been exploring, and at the same time wish to create a space where vivid exchange of ideas about collective practices can take place.
The second edition of Transmissions focuses on Iran. Iranian members of Naanu, together with other Iranian artists living abroad, set up an initiative to raise financial support for people in Iran, with a focus on independent educational and artistic institutions, as well as independent artists who have lost their jobs and income due to the shutdown of these institutions. These sectors are at immediate risk of disappearing due to war and repression, and without support, the damage could be irreversible. Their intention is for this support not to be temporary, but to continue on a monthly basis for as long as possible, until economic conditions improve.
Naanu collective's second Transmission event will be entirely focused on helping to raise funds for this important initiative. All proceeds of the food served and of the items sold in our gift shop this evening will go to this initiative. There will be a donation box present, and the fundraiser's QR-code will be allover the place! So do join us massively, enjoy a varied program of amazing Iranian culture's expressions, and consume :-)
If you can't attend live but would like to contribute, you can go to https://ko-fi.com/diyarcollective and donate!

PROGRAMME:
For Those Who Live at the Shoreline by HODA SIAHTIRI and SHAAHIM PEYMANI
live musical performance
For Those Who Live At The Shoreline is a ceremonial performance - an invitation to witness the duality of light and darkness. The title comes from the poem A Litany For Survival by Audre Lorde, and speaks to the necessity of the time and space that shaped the forces behind this performance, created in Tehran in January 2026. The poem is "for those of us who were imprinted with fear like a faint line in the centre" - and this performance is for those who find liberation in freeing themselves from fear. Hoda and Shaahin channel ancestral vocal sounds of the mountains and lands alongside electronic sounds - layered, recursive, and slowly transforming, like tides that repeat and dissolve.
Hoda Siahtiri is an audiovisual performance artist and researcher based in Brussels. Her work centres on embodied memory, ancestral vocal traditions, and ceremonial heritage. Through her PhD research Singing The Silences, she developed her voice alongside the lineage of Bakhtiari women from western Iran, paving a path of collective healing through remembrance and self transformation.
Shaahin Peymani is a sound artist and composer based between Tehran and Berlin. His practice includes sound installations, audiovisual performances, and composition for film, animation, and theatre. Working with found sounds, field recordings, and archival materials, he recomposes concrete sonic material and processed speech into layered collages, investigating perception and the deconstruction of language in contemporary audio culture. He is the co-founder of the School of Sonic Arts Tehran.

Nazanin is an Iranian live artist and DJ based in Brussels, exploring music through a fascination with color and symbiosis. Her sets move between ambient, textural storytelling and bass-heavy, break-driven global club sounds.

Naanu is a collective of independent filmmakers and artists focused on transnational creative collaboration. The project was initiated by alumni of the DocNomads Masters, an itinerant program (Lisbon, Budapest, Brussels) dedicated to documentary film directing. We come from all corners of the world, and our wish is to carry forward the deep intercultural dialogue fostered during the program.
Whilst cinema is at the heart of Naanu, our interests and projects are as diverse as the members of our collective. We currently organise artist residencies and workshops, creative retreats, film screenings and reading circles.
