OSSIA (live) + OJOO + HILL MEN
Ossia (live)
Ossia is a driving force in Bristol's underground music scene, merging dancehall pressure with introspective ambience. As a member of Bristol’s Young Echo Sound collective and curator of record labels such as Peng Sound, No Corner, Hotline Recordings, Lava Lava and FuckPunk.
Ossia defies genre conventions in his sets, blending grime, techno, jazz, dub, and more. Audiences experience suspenseful moments and high-powered dancefloor energy as Ossia navigates the intricate twists and turns of his universe.
ojoo
Born and raised in Morocco, and now based in Brussels, ojoo, fka OJOO GYAL, has established a mean reputation for mapping a sound uniquely hers in meticulous DJ mixes since 2019 at venues across Morocco and Europe and in mixtapes on Accidental Meetings and Chrome.
ojoo's mixes give equal attention to atmosphere and groove. They are a swirling cauldron of rhythms across a whole spectrum of genres, from old-school dancehall to its most futuristic and distorted mutations, twisting through dub, reggaeton, dembow, grime and sometimes excursions into the noisy, grubby and sludgy, with illbient, musique concrète, and more.
Hill Men
Style and genre is of no matter; the brothers take you on a musical adventure.
Hill Men grew up in a musical environment, with a jazz- and percussion-obsessed father and working at record store Wally’s Groove World. Hip-hop, dub, funk, and jazz played the main role during their teenage years, and they got into electronic music after discovering Belgium’s nightlife.
They run the record label Souvenirs From Imaginary Cities together, releasing music with a thin line between a listening and a dancing experience. In April, they launched a 7-inch sublabel called Curio Cabinet, focusing on dub-infused music.
Sharing music through their residencies on Kiosk Radio, organizing concerts/parties, and spending time in the studio—this is what the two brothers have been up to in recent years.
