De Gaza Monologen
Het Bos amongst a large group of artists and artspaces is responding to ASHTAR Theatre’s urgent appeal to theatres around the world to publicly read or perform the Gaza Monologues on 29 November 2023, the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. The play from 2010 consists of 31 monologues by children and young people recounting what happened to them during the war in Gaza in 2008 and 2009. Tragically, these monologues are still relevant today. They highlight the horrors, hopes, and resilience of the courageous people in Palestine, lifting up the voices of children and people in Gaza. You can read one of the monologues in English, Duth or Arabic. Or you can read a text from yourself. Or you can listen and reflect.
