'Big People Big Data' seeks to connect the space of closely monitored marketing research sessions with the inescapable advertisement screen. The rectangular frame defines inside and outside, the screen not as an opening but as a gate that cuts off, that imprisons, and excludes the world.

Hannah Bailliu: "With circular motions, ‘Het witte kasteel’ connects migrant workers in Dutch factories, the Spanish island of Formentera being overloaded by tourists, a group of young people from a ghetto neighbourhood in Columbus, Ohio and thus tells the story of the cold capitalist-oriented system that determines the order of things today. This “connecting” happens in a liberating way in which van der Keuken handles film and sound material. He moves form and forms movement in relation to the content."
