Where are you from, and how does that affect your work?
I have always thought of myself as a multicultural person, free from restraining roots and habits. But during my artistic research, I discovered that after leaving the place where you grew up, the only stable things you carry with you are your body and your memories.
Tell us about your techniques for overcoming creative blocks.
When I find myself creatively stuck, I turn to literature. Stories written by other people remind me that we are all just people trying to do our best, to love, and to be heard and understood. There are different mediums and different ways of expressing who you are, and art is one of them.
