You Are Here by Elias Derboven (expo)
You Are Here is a reminder to be in this moment, to be fully present. It’s an invitation to pause, observe, and acknowledge both your existence and the space you inhabit. Whether you're contemplating where you are or where you're headed, this exhibition encourages you to see and be seen, to engage with your surroundings and yourself. It’s about awareness, reflection, and looking deeper—to look away, and then look again.
In You Are Here, a question is posed and answered. The work invites you to consider how we see, and whether what we perceive is real. Neither the senses nor the camera perfectly capture reality. Thoughtful viewers—critical onlookers and thinkers—are needed. This exhibition aims to spark reflection, calling you to intently look and be present.
Elias Derboven will present a selection of photographs from his vast archive. As a professional photographer alongside his autonomous practice, Elias combines diverse work from still life, street life to nightlife photography.
