Where do you find inspiration?
We find inspiration in the sea and all its complexities, as well as in pop culture, queer culture and history, and the performances and films we experience and discuss together.
What's the purpose or goal of your work?
We use drag and music as artistic tools to question conventional ideas about gender and other societal expectations. Through our work, we want to show that everyone should be free to be who they want to be, challenge stereotypes, and demonstrate that drag can take many different forms. We aim to bring people together, create a sense of belonging, and remind audiences that they are never alone. Ultimately, we want to create musical performances that celebrate and share drag in all its diversity.
Describe your dream project.
Our dream project is to create a show that can travel to different locations while fostering a safe and welcoming community. We want to create spaces where people feel free to take up space, enjoy music and performance, connect with others, and perhaps even explore their own alter ego through drag.
