V O L U M E - Rino Sokol / Hernán Mancebo
V O L U M E is een tweede samenwerking tussen danser-choreograaf Hernán Mancebo en acteur-theatermaker Rino Sokol. Ze verkennen een manier van doen die ze de dans-dialoog noemen.
In een wereld waar nieuwe definities gezocht worden voor mannelijkheid gaan de artiesten op ontdekkingstocht. Ze bekijken elkaar en zichzelf door de lenzen van verschillende culturele referenties, normen en perspectieven. Herhaaldelijke (mis)interpretaties van elkaars woorden en lichaamstaal leggen diepgaande worstelingen met taal en identiteit bloot. Het resultaat: een voortdurende wisselwerking tussen twee disciplines waarin thema's als transformatie, liefde, seksualiteit en identiteit samensmelten en afstoten.

V O L U M E is a second collaboration between dancer-choreographer Hernán Mancebo and actor-theatermaker Rino Sokol. They explore a way of working they call the dance-dialogue.
In a world where new definitions of masculinity are being sought, the artists embark on a journey of exploration. They observe each other and themselves through the lenses of different cultural references, norms, and perspectives. Repeated (mis)interpretations of each other's words and body language reveal profound struggles with language and identity. The result: a continuous interplay between two disciplines, where themes such as manhood, love and sexuality merge and collide.
