SHTEM Quartet (Spiritual Healing Through Enheightened Mojo) is the improvisation ensemble of Nicolas Mortelmans (sitar), Stef Kamil Carlens (bass), Matthias Meersmans (drums) and Milan Warmoeskerken (guitar).
The foursome weaves atmospheric soundscapes, that range from psychedelic to krauty, with free and groovy passages, via the desert into outer space. The band has played various Antwerp venues (De Muze, Café des Arts, De Blikfabriek, Minigolf Beatrijs) and will now stretch its musical paws towards Het Bos.
